The University of Texas at Arlington
After graduating high school I attended The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) as part of the Coordinated Admissions Program (CAP). The program required all students to take 30 credit hours and maintain a GPA of 3.2 while passing all classes with at least a C. While at UTA I got the opportunity to see what college was really like. It gave me the chance to work on my time management and my organization skills. During my first semester I enrolled in 17 hours while taking Calculus and Macro Economics. For the second semester I took 13 hours and took Calculus II and Micro Economics. I had now finished all the requirements in order to transfer into the McCombs School of Business.
The University of Texas at Austin
During my first year at The University of Texas at Austin (UT), I enrolled in 24 credit hours and achieved a GPA of 3.83. I was then internally transferred into the McCombs School of Business. I chose to transfer into McCombs because I knew that the McCombs brand is strong. Also I knew no matter what major I chose McCombs would give me many opportunities. I knew that McCombs did a great job in helping their students land internships and opens many doors for them. I am currently a Junior and in my second semester in McCombs. I am working towards a bachelor's degree in Finance and looking to minor in MIS or Accounting. I currently have a GPA of 4.00 in McCombs and am expecting to graduate in May 2014.
